The unique bitter Honey
Typical on the mountains of Alentejo and Algarve, it is a very specific honey due to its bitter taste, reminiscent of coffee. At the first taste it may appear sweet but it quickly reveals its complexity and bitterness, leaving a distinctive aftertaste.
With a fast crystallization, it has a dark brown colour. Due to be harvest in the Winter, it’s a very rare and of difficult harvest honey.
For your health
In therapy, it is used to cleanse the urinary tract and it is acknowledged as an anti-asthmatic.
